Season 9 episode 1 of Love Letters To Skateboarding dropped last week and  is all about, in my mind, the essence of skateboarding: Downhill or bombing as we call/called it.

How do you do an episode about Downhill without talking about NZ’s very own Levi Hawken? Well you dont it seems. They talk to a lot of the old legends about down hill and nek minute its all about our boy. Oots!
I met Levi AGES (maybe 20 years) ago on Whakapapa ski field. I can honestly say he is the most out going, friendly and accepting person Ive ever met.
As world famous in NZ he is I have always thought he should be actual world famous. Maybe this is the beginning?
